Blog 15 -  UNIT 3 – Student’s book – pages 32 & 33-  Where were you last weekend?(Dónde estuviste la semana pasada?)

Hi children!

We are starting a new unit, unit 3, with the use of the VERB TO BE in the PAST SIMPLE.  This new tense refers to ACTIONS THAT BEGAN AND FINISHED IN THE PAST.  Some useful expressions in the past are connected to the Past Simple:  LAST WEEKEND/ MONTH/YEAR/NIGHT/SUNDAY and so on.

(Comenzamos una nueva unidad, la 3, con el uso del Pasado Simple.  Se usa para describir acciones que comenzaron y terminaron en el pasado.  Por lo tanto, es muy útil aprender las expresiones asociadas a este tiempo verbal, por ejemplo:  la semana/mes/año/noche/domingo pasado.  OBSERVEN que se usa la palabra ‘LAST’ delante de las expresiones de tiempo pasadas.)

Finally, there is a revision of places in 3A, activity 1.  You can always use an on line dictionary in case you don’t remember any of the words on the list.

(Finalmente, verán que la actividad 1 de 3A, repasa el vocabulario referente a lugares.  Les sugiero usar el diccionario en línea en caso de no recordar alguna palabra de la lista.)
